The Noble Ma’at Collective (NM Collective) is a social impact firm dedicated to one clear mission: help the helpers. Founded in 2023 by Alexis Thomason, an African-American Edupreneur with two decades of experience leading schools and organizations, The NM Collective exists to solve one of the greatest barriers Alexis found to organizational success—chronic underinvestment in the wellbeing of those who serve and lead others.
We were founded to answer that call and center individual wellbeing as a catalyst for elevating the impact of everyday heroes and sheroes through mindfulness-based programs that are empowering, relevant for real life challenges, and are easy to access and integrate for busy and overwhelmed professionals, parents and leaders.
To contribute to the greater good through empowering mindfulness retreats, wellshops and courses that spark transformation for individuals and organizations alike.
We promote a future where workplace and mental wellbeing are strategic priorities, especially for those who serve others.
We center wellbeing as a catalyst for elevating the impact of ordinary heroes by offering mindful practices through mindfulness practices that are empowering, culturally relevant, and easy to integrate to live well, work hard and feel good.
Protect your staff and strengthen your mission by addressing secondary trauma with a proactive, mindful approach to well-being. A resilient, supported workforce is more focused, effective, and committed. Start building a mindful, supportive workplace today—and watch your team and mission thrive.
Employee wellness comes into clear focus when examining the financial implications of stress and burnout in our organizations. Addressing the causes and symptoms of mental health issues related to workplace distress is a powerful strategy in protecting the health of our institutions.
Self-leadership, including mindfulness, helps emerging leaders (and everyone really) gain clarity on their purpose, build relationships with others, set strong boundaries, and make decisions that align with their values. By taking responsibility for themselves and being willing to learn from mistakes, self-leaders are better equipped to lead in challenging times.
Mindfulness has been researched since 1979 as a healthcare intervention. Beginning with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
The effectiveness of mindfulness—stress reduction, enhanced health and well-being, fostering joy—offers a compelling reason to incorporate mindfulness into your daily life.
An 8-10 week, evidenced-based awareness-focused program proven to help you manage stress, improve mental well-being, and enhance overall (physical & emotional) health through mindfulness and movement practices. Build community and belonging through this shared experience.
