Through an interdependent (Maat) approach, we curate opportunities for the development of contemplative leadership, greater mindfulness in life and work, self-awareness and compassionate conduct in the management and motivation of people and teams.
Our greatest strength lies in our founder, Alexis Thomason, a BIPOC woman with unparalleled lived experience and subject matter expertise. Having grown up in poverty and as a teen mom, Alexis intimately understands what it takes to achieve success from humble beginnings. Her extensive leadership background spans the education, nonprofit and forprofit sectors.
To date, mindfulness meditation has been taught almost exclusively in white, middle-and upper-class settings with minimal utilization in communities of color in the United States.
